The SLTH is a semi-flush threshold light that may be used for any category I, II and III ICAO, FAA Cat I and military runway. This fitting may be used for military threshold wing bar lighting too.

BASE: made of a cast aluminium with six holes with threaded inserts for fastening the light unit by means of six screws (mounting assembly B). The standard base is supplied complete with one cable lead, consisting of two, single-pole neoprene leads, size 2.5 sq.mm, 0.770 m long, with FAA L-823 receptacle. On request, special bases without cable leads can be supplied, provided with holes suitable for conduit connections.

LIGHT UNIT: consists of a treated cast aluminium dome and a treated cast aluminium lower cover, fastened to the dome by means of three screws and silicone gasket. The proper mounting of the lower cover is ensured by a pin located in the lower side of the dome. The dome is provided with two apertures for beam output. An additional silicone O-ring is outside placed around the dome to avoid dirt deposits between dome and mounting assembly. The lower cover is provided with a gland for cable entry and with a valve for watertightness test. Two suitable seats are provided on the dome to make easy the light removal.

OPTICAL SYSTEM: consists of two optical glass prisms, each mechanically clamped to the light dome by means of a steel retainer with silicone gasket. An additional nylon gasket is placed between each retainer and the relevant prism, to avoid glass-metal direct contact. The prism replacement is quick and easy and doesn’t require any sealing. No water builds up in front of the prisms, so the light output is not affected under heavy rainfall. CABLE LEAD: consists of two, single-pole santoprene leads, size 2.5 sq.mm, 0.700 m long, with FAA L-823 plug, for very quick coupling with the receptacle mounted on the base. The leads are equipped with female faston terminal and protected by fiberglass silicone sheath.
LAMPS: two, 105 W, tungsten halogen, 6.6 A, 1000 hour rated life, complete with dichroic reflector and cable leads with male faston terminal. The lamps are mounted on a suitable aluminium plate, providing the required toe-in, through elastic supports for easy and quick relamping. The lamp plate is fixed to the lower cover through four vibration damping blocks. Two tinned bare copper plaits are provided between the lamp plate and the lower cover (through thermoconductive paste) to
improve the heat removal.
FILTERS: two, dichroic green, are mounted in the rear side of the prisms through suitable stainless steel supports.

Elevated Threshold Lighting
6300 Series

6300 Series High Intensity Runway Light

The 6300 Series High Intensity Light is used for elevated runway edge
and elevated threshold/end lighting.

The fixtures are certified to FAA L-862 and L-862E under Advisory Circular 150/5345-46 and meets requirements of ICAO Annex 14.

The die cast aluminum fixture body supports smooth heat resistant outer lens and the inner lenses in a precise position with respect to the prefocused filament of the lamp. Runway edge lights use a clear outer lens with clear or colored inner lenses. Threshold/End lights use
colored outer lens with clear inner lenses. Fixtures mount directly on a 2” Frangible Coupling or on 2” EMT with an EMT Frangible Coupling.

The L-862 Runway edge lights use a 120W 6.6A Bi-pin quartz lamp. For the L-862E Threshold/End lights, a 200W 6.6A quartz lamp is
used. Easy lamp replacement is accomplished by loosening one thumbscrew and lifting the entire optic lens assembly from the base unit. Other lamp wattages are available upon request.

6370 SE Series Medium Intensity Threshold Light

The 6370SE Medium Intensity Light is used for elevated threshold/end
lighting.

FAU - Elevated Approach Threshold and Runway End Light

Applications
The FAU is a high intensity elevated light. The FAU lights are used for any category I, II, and III ICAO and military approach, approach side row, threshold, threshold wing bar and runway end lighting. This fitting is also used for FAA stopbar lighting.

Features
Body: Made of aluminum, it contains a pure polished and anodized aluminum reflector and the lamp support, a glass is mounted in front of the reflector supported by means of an aluminum ring with silicone gasket. The light is accessible for maintenance and relamping through a rear door with silicone gasket, lockable by means of a screwed know. A cable gland is provided for cable entry.
